Cataracts
Cataracts are like gray hair… if you’re lucky enough to live into your 50’s, you have cataracts. A cataract is simply a darkening or opacification of a lens inside the eye. When it gets too dark it becomes too hard to see through and we have to remove it and replace it with an artificial lens. Luckily, the procedure has become very routine and most patients will shed the need for corrective glasses afterwards. New lens implants allow good vision up close and far way, even for people with astigmatism.
