Dr. Andrew Biondo, Optometrist at Kirkwood Eye Associates in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Our Fearless Leader

Dr. Andrew Biondo started practicing Optometry in 2010 and it's been an exciting ride ever since.  He has stayed true to his core beliefs: to deliver an exceptional experience for his patients &  community.

​Dr. Biondo is the past President of the St. Louis Optometric Society and is also a member of the Missouri Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, the Scleral Lens Education Society, 
the International Keratoconus Academy & the American Optometric Association.  He was recently named a fellow of the National Scleral Lens Education Society.  While he cares for all types of patients, he specializes in the treatment of irregular cornea and keratoconus patients.  He is a international leader in scleral lens design and serves as a consultant to a number of industry labs.  He is also passionate about the treatment and management of dry eye disease.  

Dr. Biondo and his fabulous wife (that made this bomb website) have two children and enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.

  • Practices full scope eye care, specifically:
                    -primary eye care
                    -glaucoma
                    -macular degeneration
                    -cataracts
                    -laser & refractive surgery
  • Helped pioneer the use of amniotic membrane transplantation by optometrists.
  • His greatest passion is fitting irregular corneas with specialty contact lenses.
  • Specializes in the treatment of severe dry eye syndrome related to systemic disease.
  • He fits a wide variety of specialty contact lenses, but focuses on:
                     -scleral lenses for patients with keratoconus
                     -corneal transplants
                     -other corneal abnormalities
  • Dr. Biondo lectures nationally to other doctors on scleral lens fitting for keratoconus.
